Creator fees
The platform fee is bang!'s; the creator's cut goes straight to them, locks and drips, or goes to holders.
Every fee on bang! has one owner. The platform fee (1% of every curve trade, in SOL) is bang!’s. Everything else a token earns is the creator’s cut, and the creator decides at launch where it goes. Nothing can be raised, redirected or switched after launch.
What the creator’s cut is
- The creator fee (optional): 0.5% to 3% of every transfer, in the token, taken on curve trades, pool swaps and wallet-to-wallet transfers alike. Nobody is exempt, the creator included. The mint has no fee authority, so it can never change. With 0% the token is a plain token.
- The pool’s fees after graduation: the locked pool position earns its trading fees in SOL (Meteora keeps 20%). That includes the opening, when the pool’s fee falls from 99% to 1% over about 30 seconds.
Where it goes
Straight to you
Creator fees arrive in the creator’s wallet on their own. Pool fees wait on the token’s launch account; the creator presses Claim on the token page (anyone may send them, and they can only go to the creator’s wallet).
Lock & drip
- The creator picks a share to lock, 10% to 100%. The rest comes to them as above.
- The locked share of the creator fee is held by the token’s program. Each month’s lock starts dripping when that month ends and drips out evenly over the next year, so tokens locked late never unlock faster.
- After graduation the locked share of the pool fees fills a buyback pot. About once an hour bang! spends it on the token’s own pool, and the tokens it buys lock and drip the same way. Only bang!’s rewards key can run a buyback, with a slippage limit, so nobody can sandwich it.
- Every drip pays 90% to the creator and keeps 10% for bang!. Anyone can trigger a drip; bang! does it daily.
Back to the holders
- The whole cut goes to the token’s holders: creator fees in the token, pool fees in SOL.
- Every 30 minutes bang! weighs each wallet’s holding by how much it holds and for how long, counting only while it is worth at least $10. What came in since the last round is split by that weight.
- Shares are sent to holders’ wallets automatically, nothing to claim: tokens to their token account, SOL to the wallet, USDC to their USDC account. A holder without a USDC account opens one once on the token page (about 0.002 SOL, kept as the account’s deposit); their USDC waits until then. A share worth less than $0.10 waits until it grows. Program accounts (the curve, the pool, the fee vault) never count as holders.
- The program checks every round against what actually came in: a round can never pay out more than the pot holds. The key that posts the rounds is bang!’s rewards key, kept in a cloud key vault.
Collection
The creator fee is withheld in the receiving account of every transfer. bang!’s crank gathers it every 10 minutes and routes it by the creator’s choice; anyone can do the same with Collect now on the token page. The token page also shows Where the fees went: what was paid on the curve, at the pool’s opening and in the pool afterwards.
